Director of Digital Analytics & Testing
The newly formed **Wyndham Digital Innovation & E-Commerce** group has an opening for a **Director, Digital Analytics & Multivariate Testing** . Wyndham Digital is looking for people who are interested in re-imagining the vacation ownership experience by harnessing the power of digital technologies. The Digital team has broad responsibility to leverage digital technologies to build best-in-class customer experiences and maximize Wyndham's return on investment. The Director of Digital Analytics and Testing will work closely with business partners, strategists, product owners, and development teams to turn campaigns, content strategies, and site and mobile app designs into well-defined measurement programs that produce relevant and reliable data, empower informed decision-making and enable iterative cycles of testing, learning, and optimization. In addition to understanding the fundamentals of digital advertising, social media, mobile app, and website tagging, the Director of Digital Analytics and Testing is also a strategic thinker---proposing innovative ways to transform how our new digital team looks at testing our ideas, products, and so real customer data will hold us accountable, validate effectiveness, optimize performance, and uncover opportunities for our brands and businesses.


This is a hands-on strategic position that will lead a small team of high caliber analysts working across a mixture of digital projects. The common thread across these projects will be your providing a system of data analysis where content, users, and data interact.


**Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:**


+ Develop and teach a process of frequent testing and analysis so all of our products and campaigns are truly customer outcome-focused

+ Incorporate your analysis and recommendations into the feedback loop of design and content creation

+ Distill data into useful insights and ad hoc analyses to inform brand and product strategy

+ Present your findings to internal collaborators and client teams

+ Design and execute feasible and efficient reporting workflows and dashboards that produce relevant and reliable data, empower informed decision-making and enable iterative cycles of testing, learning and optimization

+ Lead content migration and tagging implementation projects

+ Teach, set up, and run A/B Tests

+ Proactively prioritize tasks, identify project issues, and solve problems with the rest of the data team

+ Proselytize, coach, and support the entire team to adapt a test-first mindset and process

+ Research our clients and competitors to figure out what they are doing well, what they could be doing better and incorporate your analysis and recommendations into the feedback loop of strategy, design and content creation.

+ Create and communicate regular analytics executive dashboards for partners and senior leaders.

+ Responsible for all aspects of personnel management (e.g., hiring, training and development, etc.) of the her/his direct reports and overall team


+ BA, Masters, or PhD in analytics, engineering, decision scienth, math, or other related field

+ Minimum 5 years experience in related role with major website, mobile app, digital agency, or retail organization

+ Great team leader who can not only conduct analysis but can guide a small team of analysts toward uncovering and communitcating useful insight from the data.

+ An open, analytical, strategic and problem-solving mindset

+ A positive, energized force for modern testing methodologies

+ Demonstrated ability to clean, wrangle, analyze and visualize data sets large and small into streamlined, actionable reports

+ Demonstrated ability to distill data into strategic recommendations

+ Advanced knowledge of Excel

+ Ability to clearly articulate and present data and initiatives to creative and technical teams, business stakeholders, and executive leaders

+ Experience with digital analytics suites like: Adobe Analytics (Omniture), WebTrends, IBM Digital Analytics, Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Heap, KissMetrics, Chartbeat

+ Experience with tag management solutions like: Google Tag Manager, Adobe Dynamic Tag Management, Tealium, Keen Io, Segment

+ Experience with testing and personalization frameworks like: Adobe Target, Optimizely, Google Content Experiments, RichRelevance, Maxymiser, SiteSpect, Qubit

+ Experience with Business Intelligence and visualization suites such as Looker, Mode, Chartio, Tableau, Qlik, Periscope, or Cognos

+ Basic understanding of SQL and relational data warehousing concepts

+ Flexibility to adapt to new/unfamiliar tools, data and problems

+ Smart, curious, friendly, digitally savvy and down-to-earth

+ Collaborative team player

+ Able to translate analytics insights into powerful stories that shift perspectives.

+ Excellent oral, writing, editing, communication and storytelling skills through various mediums and formats.

+ Self-starter and quick study - with a bias for action, speed, and results
