Executive Creative Director, Digital Product Design
The newly formed **Wyndham Digital Innovation & E-Commerce** group has an opening for an **Executive Creative Director, Digital Product Design** . Wyndham Digital is looking for people who are interested in re-imagining the vacation ownership experience by harnessing the power of digital technologies. The Product Management team has broad responsibility to leverage digital technologies to build best-in-class customer experiences and maximize Wyndham's return on investment. As Executive Creative Director, you will drive creative strategy and vision with multiple teams that enable the customers of our five banner brands to seamlessly and easily reserve, enjoy, and return to our properties, from product discovery through delivery.

You bring a deep understanding of branding, mobile, integrated campaigns, marketing, and social media across all channels. Including all digital interfaces, marketing/advertising, experiential/physical, as well as the digital touch points in our physical environments. You will play a key leadership role working with brand, product, marketing, technology and sales to shape new opportunities for Wyndham Digital -- be it expanding current owner relationships or forging new ones with prospects. The ideal candidate will have a customer-first mentality as well as grounding in design thinking as a way to change our business.

A deep understanding of customer research, knowledge gathering, ideation, prototyping, design process, and concept visualization/prototyping are baseline for this role. He or she should bring multiple years of experience both building and leading design teams including designers, principals, and other managers.

**Essential Job Functions**

+ Lead concept design, development, and management of "best in class" creative digital products across all digital channels - web, mobile, immersive physical space, social, display, etc.

+ Innovation design and oversight

+ Strong mix of creative and operations, proven ability to lead creative across multiple product teams and expand portfolio

+ Brand advertising sensibility - proven experience across all channels, email, display, Search, Social, etc

+ Translate marketing and business objectives into creative strategies - and the ability to communicate and sell to the business at large

+ Proven leadership experience to grow and lead a team of design talent

+ Ability to influence culture. A strong mentor and collaborator across disciplines

+ Lead and direct creative teams from concept to completion

+ Develop, lead and inspire the design team members, each responsible for defining and delivering end-to-end user experience design (lead generation, product discovery, ecommerce, and engagement)

+ Create and foster career development and growth paths for team members in alignment with company, product and personal objectives

+ Create clear and measurable goals and objectives for the team related to the creation of design, high-quality interactions that support critical business objectives, and partnership with cross-functional teams

+ Attract, develop, and retain top visual/graphic design, IA, UX and Content Strategy talent

+ Executive Stakeholder Management

+ Lead teams in partnering with key business stakeholders and strategy team members to develop clear insights, designs, and research and present to senior management the information necessary to make informed approval, prioritization and tradeoff decisions

+ Ensure that all relevant parties and key stakeholders are informed of user experience design and research status from concept through launch

+ Develop and maintain relationships with key business owners and senior management

+ Support senior leadership and the technology organization in developing and improving product development, product management and project management practices

+ Functional/Organizational Development:

+ Lead Design/Experience efforts in developing and implementing scalable processes and/or tools to enable functional productivity

+ Develop and refine the user centered design process within the product management lifecycle

+ Communication, planning, estimation, issue management and resolution for highly complex multi-discipline projects

+ Develop needs assessment, scope of projects and cost models for creative services in partnership with Project Manager

+ Coach designers as they respond to project escalations with an assessment of the business implications of changes to project scope, timeline, or resources

+ Raise awareness of team's plans, insights and accomplishments in order to facilitate cooperation across departments and to build a highly performing, highly motivated team

+ Assist direct reports with ongoing prioritization and resource allocation to ensure that the crucial business initiatives are delivered

+ 8-10 years relevant professional experience required

+ BS/BA degree required, Graduate studies preferred; Degree in design-related discipline: Interaction, Information or Interface design; Design Planning; Graphic Design; Journalism, English or Communications; Marketing

+ 7-9 years experience in one or more of the following areas: user experience, information architecture, or creative design

+ 16+ years of industry experience in a well-established, creative role with a proven track record of agency success

+ Experience across digital channels as well as above the line

+ Solid verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to all levels of clients

+ Knowledge of marketing, all forms of advertising, and digital experiences, with proven conceptual and design abilities

+ Must be well-versed in user-centered design methods and techniques

+ Must possess a deep understanding in related creative tracks: user experience, copywriting and content strategy

+ Proficient to expert in: Adobe Creative Cloud, Sketch, InDesign, Visio, Microsoft Office, etc.

+ Proven client-facing role experience working with teams on large scale, long-term projects

+ Prior experience managing direct reports

+ Excellent writing and presentation skills

+ Ability to gracefully handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

+ Passionate attitude with willingness and enthusiasm to own your own growth
