Lead Engineer - Oracle Applications DBA
**Wyndham** is currently seeking a **Lead Engineer - Oracle Applications DBA** in Orlando, Florida. The Lead Oracle EBS Applications DBA is responsible for installing and administering EBS R12 environment, which includes Oracle Financials, HCM, Localization and Languages. The administration will consist of maintaining application security, high availability, printers, profile options, user management, concurrent manager processes and related configurations towards stability and performance of the systems. The Applications DBA will lead and support all deployments across environments and adhering to change management governance. The Applications DBA will develop, implement and maintain monitoring processes for key thresholds, perform daily administrative tasks and provide guidance with patch management for multiple environments. The Applications DBA will be the primary individual responsible to create and maintain application system documentation for all processes and procedures. He will need to interface and work together with all levels of management, implementation teams and other IT groups on projects and operational support.

**Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:**

+ Lead a team of Oracle EBS Application DBAs towards operational activities such as periodic clones/refreshes, instance management and performance monitoring

+ Provide application administration support and assistance on development projects

+ Collaborate with Infrastructure teams towards upgrades and patching at all levels including CPU, RPC and Linux patching

+ Ensure efficient operation of the R12 Application 24/7 and especially during critical windows such as month-end close.

+ Address P1 and P2 production issues independently or as a team to ensure close out within defined SLAs

+ Manage and execute automated and manual code migrations via Dell (Quest) Stat and adhering to workflow approvals as part of change management

+ Maintain change control processes established for SOX compliance

+ Migrate responsibilities, value sets, menus, functions, report groups, etc. via established policy or automated tools.

+ Create and execute PLSQL scripts for data cleanup or custom queries towards business and IT support

+ Monitor and administer Oracle Workflow and notification mailer to support Requisition and PO processes.

+ Responsible for planning, coordinating, and administration of Oracle applications, including base definition, structures, documentation, upgrades, long-range requirements, operational guidelines, and protection

+ Establish and maintain security integrity controls, policies, procedures, and standards

+ Provide technical support for Disaster Recovery activities.

+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent experience preferred.

+ 10 years' experience in Oracle EBS R12 Application administration

+ 8 Years expertise with SQL and UNIX operating system commands, including shell scripting.

+ Oracle development tools and utilities, including SQL*Plus, SQL*Loader, PL/SQL, TOAD, SQL*Developer

+ Exposure and knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.

+ Experience leading a distributed team of Oracle EBS Applications DBAs.

+ Experience with Oracle RAC, Parallel Concurrent Processing (PCP), and F5 Load Balancer

+ Experience in mixed OS environment (Solaris, Linux, and Windows) with ability to install, tune, recover and manage

+ Experience in setting up R12 instances in physical and virtual environments

+ Knowledge and experience with automated deployment tool such as Dell (Quest) Stat

+ Solid knowledge and experience to manage and troubleshoot with Oracle WorkFlow Mailer

+ Good understanding of networking and printer setup: LAN, WAN, TCP/IP

+ Ability to independently analyze, prioritize and execute action plans for complex issues

+ Ability to work with cross functional project teams and Oracle Support to resolve technical performance issues/bottlenecks (i.e., network, storage, application)

+ Experience with production level 24/7 operations and be able to participate on call support or break/fix/enhancement activities to resolve application issues

+ Experience with capacity planning and data cleanup for applications

+ Understanding of procedures to patch application for CPU, RPC patches, etc.

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

+ Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment; ability to work collaboratively with business users, IT staff, and various levels of management.
