**Description**



**Wyndham Vacation Ownership** is currently seeking a **Paralegal** in Orlando, Florida. The Paralegal provides support to in-house attorneys, prepares and files U.S. trademark applications and related prosecution documents. This individual corresponds with foreign counsel regarding foreign trademark applications and registrations, manages and maintains trademark docketing system, performs and reviews trademark clearance searches, reviews trademark watch notices, assists in domain name enforcement. Assists in the research and preparation of cease and desist letters. Coordinates with outside counsel. Obtains information/materials from other departments, prepares status reports, and responds to requests.



**Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:**



+ Prepare, revise, and file required documents and applications necessary to achieve and maintain compliance within area of responsibility.

+ Perform Legal research, including review of governing documents, tax records and federal, state and local statutes.

+ Maintain required information to ensure accurate records are retained.

+ Under supervision of Manager, Director, Counsel II or Vice President, prepare and file documents necessary to ensure all required regulatory compliance is achieved and maintained within the areas of responsibility. Assist other team member or supervisors as needed, to ensure Departmental objectives are met.

+ Work as part of the team on projects as assigned by supervisor and will be responsible for coordinating with other team members working on related documents or projects.

**Qualifications**



**Qualifications**



+ Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 3 years trademark / intellectual property experience

+ Paralegal certificate is preferred

+ Ability to make decisions about work without consulting a supervisor on a daily basis

+ Ability to handle multiple tasks and work well under pressure

+ Excellent research and organizational skills

+ Strong computer skills in Word, Excel, WebTMS or similar docketing system, Corsearch Advantage or similar trademark clearance and watch system
