Senior Director of Brand Publicity
**Wyndham Destinations** is searching for an experienced **Senior Director, Brand Publicity** to lead the global media relations strategy for its iconic brands. This position is based in Orlando, FL. The ideal candidate will bring a global company perspective, strong media relations background and exceptional interpersonal skills to the role. He/she will be a change agent within the Brand department and responsible for developing and leading the global publicity strategy for Wyndham Destinations' portfolio of brands. He/she will be responsible developing strategic public relations campaigns that drive awareness, positive publicity, and strengthen the company's profile through the promotion of signature brands and revenue generating offerings. This progressive publicity expert will implement innovative and targeted public relations strategies that garner global headlines and elevate the company's visibility and consumer awareness. An integral part of the Brand leadership team, this role requires that the individual be adept at navigating a dynamic global corporate structure across multiple countries and cultures. The role offers collaboration with senior leaders across the organization, with a moderate to high level of decision making autonomy. The successful candidate will be an innovative thinker and outstanding relationship builder, collaborator and influencer with exceptional written and communication skills. This position will oversee the team responsible for the day-to-day publicity strategy for the company's global brand portfolio.

**Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:**

+ Develop a best-in-class publicity team that will engage key stakeholders, drive an emotional brand connection among consumers and positively impact the company's public profile through strategic media engagement.

+ Develop a global publicity strategy that tells the Wyndham Destinations story across multiple platforms.

+ Deliver outstanding results across every publicity touch point.

+ Build process, structure and discipline around the publicity function.

+ Partner closely with leadership to amplify the company's brand narrative and voice.

+ Creative storytelling - apply innovative lens to how we tell the Wyndham Destinations story.

+ Support company growth, sales and marketing strategy with targeted media relations efforts.

+ Relationship management (internal and external), agency management, campaign development and execution, media research and response.

+ Publicity material development, story creation and placement.

+ Work closely and align with communications leaders across the company.

**Basic Qualifications**

+ Bachelor's degree

+ 10+ years Publicity, Communications or Public Relations experience.

+ 3 years or more managing direct reports/team(s)

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Progressive and successful publicity experience working in a large corporate, public company setting.

+ Consumer brand/hotel/travel experience preferred.

+ Track record of developing and managing publicity strategy during a period of transformational change where brand establishment and representation is important to overall company success.

+ Prove results through a forward-thinking approach utilizing a full range of communication platforms including social media/digital.

+ Creative thinking for different communication platforms.

+ Strong ability to interact with executive level management.

+ Excellent writing skills.

+ Strong presentation skills.
