Senior Manager of Shared Applications
**Wyndham** is currently seeking a **Senior Manager of Shared Applications** in Orlando, Florida. The Senior Manager - Shared Applications is responsible for the performance, functionality and reliability of 24x7 business critical enterprise applications. The applications vary from custom developed to commercial off the shelf (COTS) to Software as a Service (SaaS) across the coloration, service management, finance, treasury, legal application portfolio suite. This position manages a team of Technical Specialists or consultants who provide both development and administration support for multiple technologies and systems. The Senior Manager works with the management team to help formulate and recommend technology plans/strategies and priorities for the enterprise applications by analyzing and understanding the current and future application needs that keep pace with business demands.


**Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:**


+ Ensures overall success of a wide range of projects of varying levels of complexity.

+ Leads new implementation and upgrade projects managing all phases/activities of SDLC, functional configurations, design, development and implementation deliverables.

+ Demonstrates ability to build and nurture key business relationships to drive transparency, collaboration and partnership to enable business results.

+ Manages a team of technical associates or consultants to include defining priorities, project plans, overall application portfolio stability and operational readiness.

+ Mentors and builds a results oriented, motivated and effective team.

+ Responsible for the team's career and development goals and appraisals.

+ Fosters trust and evokes creative and innovative thinking.

+ Challenges the team to develop as leaders.

+ Looks for new and creative ways to employ the team and distribute and prioritize work efforts.

+ Builds expert knowledge on the team to support the growing demand for shared applications.


+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, information systems, or a business related field or equivalent experience

+ 5-8 years experience related to the duties and responsibilities specified including at least 2 years with people management experience.

+ PMP, ITIL and Microsoft certifications are a plus, but not required.

+ Hands-on, proven expertise and experience with implementations and application support, including custom developed, COTS and SaaS applications.

+ Proven experience in implementing and supporting a large global, enterprise environment.

+ Self-directed leader with a proven record of success with a blend of technology and business expertise.

+ Ability to work effectively and manage priorities in a fast paced environment.

+ Must be comfortable in matrix management environments and work effectively with others in managing complex issues.

+ Experience with Production Support operations and procedures including the ability to confront issues openly and with a sense of urgency.

+ Experience with an organization with a key 24 X 7 reliance on its applications

+ Proven experience managing vendors for implementations and post-production support.

+ Must be customer focused; possess excellent communication skills both written and oral; along with strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills

+ Full SDLC and PMLC experience with advanced knowledge in system customizations.

+ Experience in developing/overseeing the development of line of business applications

+ Experience with database concepts, FTP process, HTML, JavaScript, JSP, and Web Services

+ Knowledgeable of 3-tier application architecture and design

+ Flexible, self-directed and motivated individual, able to accommodate to shifting priorities

+ Must have project leadership skills including resource management, project planning and tracking, estimating, risk analysis, sponsor relations, status communication, problem identification and resolution

+ Demonstrated skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures

+ Group facilitation, mediation, and conflict resolution skills

+ Strong collaboration skills and ability to deal effectively in a team environment

+ Must have demonstrated successful people management experience

+ Ability to establish priorities, demonstrate discipline and independent judgment

+ Successful Customer facing and cross-functional team leadership experience
