Senior Quality Assurance Engineer
**Wyndham Vacation Ownership** is currently seeking a **Senior QA Engineer** in Orlando, Florida. The purpose of this position is to provide the WVO Information Technology group with Quality Assurance (QA) Testing Oversight and Functional Execution of Quality Assurance Testing. Quality Assurance Analyst III work closely with management, the Project Management Office (PMO), project managers, outsource providers and developers to facilitate numerous Quality Assurance (QA) services, (e.g. project estimates, testing strategies, project documents) in support of WVO related business solutions and development life cycle methodologies.





**Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:**




+ Champion test management solutions and process execution. In addition, ensures delivery of service commitments, business continuity, and requirements related to WVO's quality assurance test management program

+ Support departmental objectives by working with IT leadership and stakeholders to develop and implement effective quality assurance test strategies

+ Administer, manage, and carry out all aspects of the group's process as it pertains to ensuring the accuracy of the quality assurance test framework. This role is responsible for technical, process ownership, and compliance aspects of the quality assurance management systems and relationship to other functions and departments

+ Train & mentor junior Quality Assurance Test associates in best practices, system knowledge, and process

+ Investigate and evaluate new testing technologies and products for application within the environment

+ Know end to end flow of IT system architecture and related key business processes

+ Keep up with industry standards and trends

+ Know capabilities of QA tools


**Education**




+ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent experience in a similar field.



**Knowledge and skills**




+ Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders; including senior managers and executives.

+ Ability to influence and be persuasive.

+ Ability to take ownership and deliver medium and large sized projects while mentoring and directing team members

+ Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills

+ Strong negotiation skills with the ability to resolve conflicts and problems and follow through to completion

+ Strong planning and managing delivery to plan as well as good organizing skills

+ Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills

+ Proven ability to drive cross-team technical discussions and decision making

+ Pro-active with high levels of energy, tenacity, and enthusiasm to deliver results

+ Exceptional focus on quality and strong attention to detail

+ Experience in the vacation ownership or hospitality industry preferred



**Technical Skills**




+ Demonstrate competency to review and analyze system/business requirements and identify test conditions/scenarios that validates those requirements, test planning, execution strategies, defect management and risk analysis.

+ Solid understanding of N-tier application architecture, Information Security (PII/PCI), Database Management

+ Demonstrate competency with database structures and use of SQL or similar querying language

+ Demonstrate competency with different test strategies for Web and/or Client/Server applications, web services, reporting

+ Demonstrate competency in minimum of one scripting (VBScript, JavaScript) or programming language (Java)

+ Experience with usage of automated test solutions (UFT, Selenium, SOAPUI)

+ Experience with Test Management Tools (e.g. HP QualityCenter, Jira)

+ Experience across Test Strategies (e.g. smoke, sanity, functional, regression, integration, data-integrity, end-to-end, system, documentation, GUI, Web, load, stress, and performance)

+ Experience with Testing Methodologies (e.g. Agile, RUP, Iterative, Spiral, Waterfall, and XP)



**Job experience**




+ 5+ years practical experience for testing large software applications

+ 3+ years experience in a test management strategy

+ 3+ years leading projects/teams effectively

+ 3+ years performing risk assessments, time estimations, and resource estimations

+ 3+ years of leading and giving guidance and direction to test engineers
